General
Advertising accepted for publication in media channels of MACE Media Company (Publisher) is subject to the conditions set out in this document. All advertisements placed are subject to approval and the Publisher may refuse to accept an advertisement for publication if it believes it may infringe the rights of any individual or may not comply with all laws and regulations of the United States. Advertisements are accepted subject to the Publisher’s approval, without prejudice, in every respect with regard to material, layout or otherwise and may be modified or altered at the Publisher’s discretion if the material supplied is not in accordance with the mechanical specifications. The Publisher takes no responsibility for incorrect placement of material provided by the Advertiser that is not accompanied by specific material instructions. The cost to the Publisher of making good any such material, shall be paid by the Advertiser to the Publisher on demand. The Publisher shall not be responsible for any loss or damage consequent to the failure of an advertisement to appear in accordance with the instruction given by the Advertiser. The positioning of an advertisement in the magazine is at the discretion of the Publisher except where specifically instructed and agreed upon. The Publisher accepts no responsibility or liability in relation to any loss due to the failure of an advertisement to appear according to instructions. The Publisher reserves the right to promote advertisers in editorial format at it’s discretion. All images and editorial copy submitted for editorial and advertorial purposes remains the property of the Publisher.
Artwork
The Publisher assumes that finished/supplied artwork is made to mechanical specifications as set out in this document. All advertising material must be supplied to the Publisher in accordance with the mechanical specifications by the advertising deadline. If material is not supplied by the advertising deadline, the Publisher reserves the right to repeat the most recent material. Alternatively, the Advertiser or his agent will be charged for the advertising space as contracted and the space will be filled at the Publisher’s discretion. The Publisher is not held responsible for color matching. Please note that with different paper stocks, colors may vary in printing. This is a process that is unavoidable and the Publisher will not be held accountable for any color variations.
Advertising Policy and Production Requirements
Advertising Policy
Instructions regarding contracts, insertion orders, and cancellations must be made in writing.
All copy, including all graphics, is subject to the publisher’s approval. The publisher reserves the right to refuse any
advertisement at any time that does not meet MACE Media standards.
Frequency rates are based upon a supplied written contract for multiple insertions during a single publishing year. To qualify for multiple-insertion discounts, all insertions during the publication year must appear on one contract.
Advertisers billed at contract rate who fail to fulfill such contract will be billed at the rate corresponding to the actual number of insertions.
When space is contracted and no copy instructions are received by closing date, copy in a previous issue will be repeated.
Any advertising copy that might be mistaken as an article, commentary, or other non-advertising material must be clearly marked “advertisement”.
Advertisers will be invoiced for advertising space and related charges during the month of issuance. Ads must be paid prior to the issue going to print.
Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content (text, representation and illustrations) of advertising and for any claims against the publisher arising from such advertising.
The publisher will not be held responsible for the reproduction quality if ad material fails to conform to the publisher’s mechanical requirements, or if ad material is not received by the copy-due date.
The publisher’s liability for any error will not exceed the cost of the space.
Advertisers and their agencies have dual liability to MACE Media in the event of non-payment for advertising space. That is, the agency is responsible for the client, and vice versa.
Publication Advertising Requirements
MACE Media is not responsible for any errors made to materials which do not fall within the production requirements.
Press-ready PDF files are required.
300 dpi is required for all images.
Color files must be in CMYK format.
Some bleeds are possible. Call for details.
Digital Advertising Requirements
Please supply a high resolution JPG and PDF file.
Supplied graphics should be finished. MACE Media will not edit submitted graphics.
No animated graphics are allowed.
Must be 300 DPI. Text will not be included in the space unless it is part of the graphic.

Cancellations
Advertisements cancelled on or after the booking deadline will be liable for 50% of the full amount agreed upon.
Indemnity & Warranty
The Advertiser agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified the Publisher in respect of all liabilities, losses, damages, costs or expenses whatsoever in relation to any claim, demand, action, suit or proceeding whatsoever brought by any third party arising out of or in connection with any material published by the Publisher on behalf of the Advertiser. The Advertiser warrants to The Publisher that all advertising material and information to be submitted on behalf of the Advertiser is such that its publication will not infringe the provision of any law or statute and will not give rise to any claim or right of action whatsoever against the Publisher, whether at common law or statute.
