Addison DeMoura

Addison DeMoura is known in the industry as an expert in understanding the chemical construction of the cannabis plant. Addison is also considered an expert in preparing the chemical processes involved in the non-volatile and volatile manufacturing/extraction of concentrated cannabis. Addison’s desire to learn has lead him to a career focused on research of the medicinal benefits of the cannabis plant. For almost two years Addison served as the Executive Director of the Medical Cannabis Association. The Medical Cannabis Association was one of the first cannabis based trade associations in the United States.

The primary mission of the MCA is to promote and support the use of medicinal cannabis through education and the provision of information. The information provided by the MCA includes information on the types of medical marijuana strains and their various medicinal effects on a person. MCA also provides information on reputable producers of cannabis as well as ongoing monitoring and dosing information.

Addison’s desire for research related to the cannabis plant lead him to co-found Steep Hill Labs “Steep Hill”. Steep Hill is a renowned analysis, biotechnology, research & development facility in Oakland California. Steep Hill provides analytical services for legally-authorized distributors, producers, and licensed regulators of cannabis. For nearly ten years Addison headed Steep Hills sales, marketing and business development division.

Addison regularly lectures on the importance of good practices in the cannabis industry, the importance of cultivating pesticide free cannabis. He also regularly writes and lectures on the beneficial chemical make-up of various cannabis strains.
