There exists many psychoactive compounds where min There exists many psychoactive compounds where minimal scientific research is available concerning their effects on the human body, mind, and spirit โ€“ all but leaving it to users of these substances to determine those criteria for themselves. One such compound is 5-methoxydimethyltryptamine, or 5-MeO-DMT, which exists naturally within several botanical sources and even one animal.

What is 5-MeO-DMT and where does it come from?

Historically the stuff of indigenous Mexican and South American tribes and shamans, 5-MeO-DMT is a powerful psychedelic alkaloid. Many non-indigenous people now have limited access to 5-MeO-DMT and they utilize it for their own spiritual or mental improvement despite a Schedule I classification in the United States since 2011.

Cannabinoid fermentation is a new, challenging, bi Cannabinoid fermentation is a new, challenging, biosynthetic method developed as alternative to cannabis-derived extractions. This technique is not dependent on cultivating the plant or influenced by secondary metabolite variations during the plant life-cycle due to environmental stresses such as pests, weather, and so on. [1]

Metabolic engineering-derived cannabinoid production permits the decrease of economic costs, in addition to reduced use of pesticides, water, land, and solvents employed during the isolation and purification processes. Through the action of recombinant bacteria and yeasts, it is possible to reproduce the plant metabolic pathways responsible for cannabinoid biosynthesis.

The heterologous production of cannabinoids in host microorganisms is linked to their genetic tools capacity and the choice of a suitable substrate for the growth and proliferation of the chosen cell-factory.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) acetates are semi-synth Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) acetates are semi-synthetic psychoactive cannabinoids. โˆ†8-THC, an unregulated isomer of โˆ†9-THC, has become increasingly available, particularly in states where โˆ†9-THC is illegal. However, there is scant research concerning these cannabinoid acetates, and therefore, the health risks of ingesting these compounds are not understood.

These cannabinoid acetates possess a phenyl acetate substructure that can convert to ketene under when heated. Ketene is a highly reactive poisonous gas that is lethal at just 5 ppm. โˆ†8-THC acetate is a relatively new product online and in vape shops. It has a similar substructure to vitamin E acetate, which has been shown to form ketene during vaping by Doctor Robert Stronginโ€™s research lab. [1] A recent study out of the Strongin lab investigated the potential for ketene formation from vaping โˆ†8-THC acetate. [2] Ketene was consistently observed in vaped condensates from โˆ†8-THC acetate.

The Origins of the Program The University of Miss The Origins of the Program

The University of Mississippi has grown a lot of cannabis for a long time. Ole Miss first started officially growing cannabis in 1968. The program began when Dr. Coy Waller got the school a contract with the federal government. This contract consisted of the university growing cannabis for research purposes only. In the beginning, it was funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) but eventually became funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). NIDA still funds it today. The contract for this program expires every three to five years and the market for it is quite competitive. Ole Miss has always kept the contract, though, and continues to go strong today. The program provides โ€œpharmaceutical-grade marijuana and marijuana-derived materials to NIDAโ€™s Drug Supply Program.โ€

A growing body of evidence exists highlighting the A growing body of evidence exists highlighting the therapeutic potential of medical cannabis among the elderly. Yet, while medical cannabis is being increasingly used by the elderly, a stigma hurdle still exists among this particular demographic.

The global elderly population has withstood the longest stretch of hearing propaganda surrounding cannabis, and as such, their indoctrination has likely run deep. Given this, it may take much more education to get the elderly to see past the propaganda and understand the true power this plant offers.

Perhaps the latest research and findings on medical cannabis and its potential benefits in alleviating a myriad of commonplace ailments among seniors may convince them that cannabis is both safe and effective.

Psilocybin is the dominant psychedelic compound in certain mushrooms known as โ€œMagic Mushrooms.โ€ There are different varieties of psilocybin mushrooms throughout the world, and these vary in strength and potency.
Mushrooms have long been used as a natural hallucinogen. In recent years, psilocybin has gained traction for its therapeutic applications in treating treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, alcohol dependence, and a variety of other conditions. [1, 2]
What Does Decriminalization Mean?
Certain organizations are working to influence legislation throughout the country and the world to decriminalize specific naturally occurring substances that have long been considered as drugs since the war on drugs kicked off in the 1970s.
