This fresh partnership could propel Canada House into the international cannabis extracts market.
Abba Medix Corp., a subsidiary fully owned by Canada House Wellness Group Inc., has entered a letter of intent (LOI) that will put them in a cannabis extraction partnership with Nutritional High International Inc. (CSE:EAT) (OTCQB:SPLIF) (FRANKFURT:2NU). In this venture, Nutritional High International Inc. will manufacture cannabis extracts and other cannabis-infused products in Canada under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR).
Larry Bortles, Chairman of Canada House commented: “The Joint Venture provides us with an opportunity to partner with experts in the extracts field and help Abba establish a strong market position in the highest margin segment of the industry.”
Their initial focus will be on building out a new cannabis extraction facility on site at the Abba grow facility in Pickering. Prospected to be approximately 2000 square foot facility, the technicians will produce extracts and oils that are currently permitted under ACMPR. After the Health Canada cannabis regulations shift, the company will introduce more products to their line. Each of their products will be manufactured using Good Pharmacoepidemiology Practice guidelines to allow international sale and export.
David Posner, Chairman and co-founder of Nutritional High commented, “Once operational, we will offer products to their growing medical cannabis patient base and will be ready by Canada Day 2018 to offer an expanded menu of FLI cannabis extract products to the recreational market.”
Canada House was formed in November of last year when three separate entities combined. They’re currently working with 7000 active clients and a chain of 11 medical cannabis wellness clinics across the country under ACMPR. Abba’s facility in Pickering consists of about 50,000 square feet and will produce around 13,000 kg of cannabis annually. They were granted their cultivation license on September 1, 2017, and are fully prepared to provide cannabis to the new recreational market come Canada Day.
Bortles continued, “We believe that Nutritional High’s FLI brand will be well received in Canada and we look forward to working with Nutritional High to offer a wide range of high quality and reasonably priced cannabis oil extract products, and down the road when permitted, edible products as well.”
