In Oakland, California on June 12-14, The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) is hosting a Cannabis Business Summit & Expo. In a recent impressive announcement, we learned that Vicente Fox has signed on to give the keynote presentation at the CannaBiz Summit. Fox is the former President of Mexico and an advocate for legal cannabis.

cannabisCurrently, Fox is President of Coca-Cola Latin America and has long spoken his mind on somewhat controversial topics. Since as early as 2013, Fox has backed cannabis business. His speech will touch on Cultivating a New Era of Enterprise: A Global Perspective. In this keynote, Fox will address the social injustices that have been created by the war on drugs. He will also address the positive aspects that have been shown in countries that have legalized cannabis. Such a poignant address will be an excellent start to the event located right in the heart of California’s Bay Area.

This keynote speech will kick off five educational tracks during three days of extensive cannabis business information. Over a hundred thought leaders and speakers will join the former President of Mexico to form another enlightening event from NCIA. Past expos from NCIA have welcomed more than 4000 attendees over 80,000 square feet of exhibitors.

Other speakers including full day workshops and boot camps for fully immersive experiences. Attendees can also enjoy tours of various Northern California cannabis dispensaries and premier testing labs. The educational tracks will cover the following themes:

  • The Fine Print: Money, Law, and Your Business
  • Cultivation & Processing
  • Running Your CannaBusiness
  • Policy & Reform
  • Leading Edge: Emerging Topics in the Industry

As always, this NCIA Summit will surely prove to be an event that Cannabis professionals will not want to miss. It should be especially poignant to take part in panels and demos so close to a legal program in California.
